ABOUT 198 ARCHIVES

"198 Archives" exists for the sole purpose of preserving items relating to 198 Squadron RAF which have been donated by Squadron veterans, their relatives, various organisations, and private individuals. Currently it holds over eight hundred items relevant to the Squadron including seventy one personnel. (See "Archived Images" and "Archived Material")

As the archives have continued to grow plans are in place for all material, where possible, to be photographed, scanned, or copied, and reproduced in a series of non-commercial limited edition books which in turn will be presented to several museums along with copies of other items such as film and sound recordings. Work on this project is expected to commence sometime 2010/11 and take several years to complete.
